Course outline

Students gain industry-driven knowledge and the skills to apply practical analysis and technical principles to their chosen specialisation. This program prepares students for employment as associate engineers or can be used as a pathway to a bachelor’s degree. This program expands students’ knowledge in a range of technologies and equipment to assist in the design, management and construction of engineering projects. Students develop the basic problem-solving skills that can be applied to engineering problems, while gaining an understanding of the principles of sustainability. Note

External students must attend at least one, week-long, residential school in Toowoomba during most years of the program.

Majors

Agricultural engineering; civil engineering; computer systems engineering; electrical and electronic engineering; instrumentation control & automation engineering; mechanical engineering; mechatronic and robot engineering; mining engineering.

Other requirements

All students must complete 30 days of work experience in an engineering workplace.
